Photographs

For this stage I have then used my research as a guide for me and to give me an idea of how a setting or an object shows a state of evidence and how this then tells the story. within my photos I have focused on a mixture of landscapes and objects that could be seen as a form of evidence.

Photographs

Here are the original levelled photographs that I have selected from my shoot. I have then chosen to focus on these by editing and developing them in the next sets underneath, highlighting different ways in which they can be presented.

Selection 1

For this section I have consented on a selection of photos that have shown a visual representation of evidence, for example an object or foot prints.

Selection 2

For this selection of photographs I have concentrated on a selection of photographs that show a setting and places.

Black & White Development

For a form of development I chose to level a handful of the selected images into black and white.

Selected Colour Development

For another development I have chosen to select a handful of photographs and use them to create selective colour photos. which is where I have layered both the black & white image onto the colour image and then used the history easier tool to make the colour of the chosen object appear onto then black & white image.

Darkroom Developments

For these developments I have gone into the darkroom and I have create photogram versions of my photographs.

Annotations

Here I have selected six of my photographs to show different compositional techniques that I have used and looked for when taking my photographs.

Rule Of Thirds

The main subject is out of the center and is on one of the lines or the four intersection points.

Leading Lines

The leading lines are used to create depth and structure within the photos. They are also used to guide the viewers eyes in a certain direction.

Black and White

The uses of levelling a photograph into black and white allows a dramatic atmosphere and mood to show. Whilst also allowing a focus on the subjects in the photo, rather than its colours.

Textures

Textures are primarily added to create visual depth, dimension and allows the  2D image to appear as 3D, which presents more of a story.

Frame Within a Frame

Using the elements in the scene to create a secondary border inside the photograph, which then allows you to highlight the subject within.

Central Composition

The main subject of the photo is placed directly in the middle of the framing of the photograph. This draws the viewers attention to the subject and shows a sense of importance of the subject.
